It’s fun to make bigger things, if there is space enough. Last year, for a few months, I had a storage room under an old iron nail factory,.”Cave” as I called it. That’s where I made this pine and coffeetable hybrid. First I had to make a hole in the table to fasten the pine branch securely. So I drilled a circle of holes to get one bigger hole for the branch to fit in. For finishing I used bast ( a donation from a arty-farty friend of mine ), small twigs and supermarket flowers ( mainly carnations ).
Here is another version, using other coffee table. I drilled lots of holes in the table board and inserted reed and giant knotweed in them. Those willow balls are from flea market. And the pink flower is Gerbera. The table was white as I got it, so I painted it with two different brown shades. I’m not totally happy with the result, now I would paint it evenly with just one shade.
And here’s a chair I customized with a pine branch and flowers. No drilling done here.
Last and maybe the least, I want to show you this stool I updated with meadow sweet, grass and rhubarb skin.
